• Committee Information - Caroline and Elizabeth

  • 8th Grade Dance Feb 3 -Report out - Committee Rep - Caroline - Info for volunteering and ticket sales. Decorations being used from last year’s event and Melissa offered additional utensils  

  • Staff Appreciation/Souper Bowl - David Sibilia - 116 staff members to feed, sign up sheet available for volunteering to make crockpot dishes of soups, chilis, bisques and other types. Best to keep to crockpot to be served hot. Melissa offered up PTSO utensils in supply closet. Event on Feb 9th from 11:15am-1:30pm. Will be sending out sign up on FB. 

  • Heritage Night (March 7) - looking to see if international students from Disney can sign up to volunteer and represent their countries via additions approval process. 

  • Field Day - Last day of school -  Added to Klaber weekly message in search of committee chair

  • BRAVO - Mrs. Long meets with this group every other Monday - reach out to her if any student wants to join

• Beautification/School Improvement Progress - Elizabeth - Met with Blueman Grow, they are OCPS approved and have worked with schools before. Also working closely with NHS and Ag students and teacher

• PTSO School Donation - Golf Cart - It arrived today!  Delivery will be next week. 

• Cambridge Program Overview  - Mr. Dalton Erickson - Described two different paths and purpose of Program at BMS. Discussed sticker incentives and key disciplines driving this program. More to come from teachers of each class to give out stickers and sticker redemption for prizes. 

• New Business/Questions

• Literacy Week - Mrs. Ragusa asked us to add information to FB to promote this event for next week.  Also suggested utilizing social media and make a reel to promote the 8th grade dance. Jen to work with Caroline and Mrs. Ragusa on photos to create a social media reel to be sent to Mr. Thompson

• Upcoming Events:

• Abbotts Spirit Night til 8pm - Every month/2nd Tuesday

• 8th Grade Dance Set-up 4pm-8pm Feb 2nd and 9-2pm Feb 3rd - Gym

• Suggestion for Huey Magoos to help build revenue for Staff Appreciation funds
